Exam Date, Eligibility, Admit Card and Full Notification :

CAT 2020 will be conducted on November 29, 2020, Notification for which has been released at the official website i.e. iimcat.ac. As stated on the official website further process of 2020 session will take place considering COVID-19 measures initiated by Central and State Governments. Thus information provided uptill now is contingent upon decision taken by IIMs.

CAT is a gateway to 20 IIMs and over 1200 B-schools in India. CAT 2019 recorded the highest number of candidate registration 2.44 lakh out of which 2.09 lakh appeared for the exam. Female ratio increased from 35.02 in 2018 to 35.73 in 2019. Apart from the IIMs, IISc (Indian Institute of Science), IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) and other prominent management colleges across the country also use CAT scores for admitting students into management courses

Steps to Apply for CAT 2020

Registration for the exam is usually a four-step procedure. Read the instructions mentioned at the start before beginning to fill up the form. In case of filling incorrect information not only the candidature will be treated as invalid but CAT registration fee will also be forfeited. The steps are as follows:

Step 1: Registration – Visit the official website of CAT and enter your email id, phone number, and date of birth.

Note: Number and ID must be active and valid, as the entire communication related to the exam will be notified on it.

Step 2: Fill CAT Application Form – Enter your personal details, contact information, academic details, work experience, program preference and exam center preference.

Note: In case, any information is found incorrect, there is a risk of application rejection. A one-time facility to make corrections in the form is also provided. 

Step 3: Upload Documents – Scan and Upload your documents (Photograph, Signatures & Required certificated) according to CAT 2020 Photo Size, Dimension, Format and Other Details

Step 4: Payment of Application Fee – CAT 2020 Application Fee can be paid online via net banking/credit card/debit card. Mentioned below is the category wise application fee for CAT 2020

CAT Exam Pattern 2020

CAT 2020 exam pattern is prescribed by the IIMs. It is likely to remain the same as that of CAT 2019, barring a few changes in topic-wise distribution of questions. Given below are the key points of CAT exam pattern to help you make a CAT preparation plan.
